My interest started when i was about 9 and a friend of mine had an A500. I remember playing Golden Axe and Chase Hq and seeing the Budbrain demo on it and I loved it.
I got my first one, an A500 Plus when i was around 11 or 12 years old.
Sold it when i was around 16 to buy a pentium peecee
A year later (and really missing my Amiga) a friend of mine gave me his broken A500.
Luckily i still had most of my Amiga games, joysticks and Action Replay MKIII, external floppy and A590 hard drive.
Changed the broken floppy drive and broken PSU, added some ram and fitted a kickstart switcher and kickstart 2.04 and i have never looked back
