I have never been too interested in these devices as they only allow you to play the bundled games. But on further investigation it would appear that this device is a C64, reduced to a single chip. It aparrently also has solder points to connect a keyboard and disk drive. This is definitely worth £20 of anybody's money. I have looked at a few DTV modding sites, and one guy actually build the DTV in to a 1541 disk drive to make it an all-in-one unit!!! I see a new project on the horizon  :-D

Do you think it would be possible to miniaturise the Amiga's circuitry like that?

Also, DTV enthusiasts may want to look up the uIEC device. It is currently in development I think, and is a tiny PCB that allows you to use a Compact Flash card connected to the IEC disk drive port of the C64. Since the DTV has IEC support, in theory this should work. How cool would it be to build a DTV board and the uIEC into the casing of a PS2 keyboard? Hey presto, complete C64 in a small casing. Bye bye bulky 1541  :-D
