Well, you could:
- Do a short course in automotive mechanics at your local tech college
- Go somewhere sunny to drive with the top down
- Have more fun than all the people who like to poke fun at MX5's?

Hm, not sure if that usage scenario is covered in the manufacturer's specifications. It is a rear wheel drive convertible, remember.
