Hmm, I'm an insomniac.  I've slept about 2 hours (total) in the last three days.  I've got to finish writing a thesis this morning.  I'm tired.

I hate winter.  For a few years, I was travelling to North China during my summer.  I had 5 winters in a row, with no summer.  In Australia, I'm used to 40+ degrees C.  I quite like a day of around 42-45.  Shorts, singlet, hat: it's comfortable, and convenient.  In China, at around -40C, everything sucks.  I got frostbite!  That's really painful.  I always get sick.  You have to wear two layers of thermals, your normal clothes, a couple of jumpers, beanie, scarf, uber gloves, and a feather coat that's like carrying a quilt around.  As soon as you get inside wearing that gear, you sweat just like squeezing a wet sponge.  Then it's a race to get those rediculus clothes off.  Damn, that's annoying.

Five dark, cold seasons in a row is really depressing for the mood.

Give me sunshine.  Give me heat!

P.S.  Perth winters are actually pretty sunny half the time, but it's still too cold for me.
Good good study, day day up!

You know that counting sheep thing doesn't actually require real sheep.

I couldn't function with so little sleep. How do you cope  :-o

Not very well, to be honest.  Thanks for asking.  One can get used to it a bit, but it's still not good.

I can actually very clearly remember sleeping very well, once.  Only once though.  I felt totally different the next day.  It amazed the hell out of me, that I could actuallly feel awake and alert in the morning, and even happy (I'm really not a morning person).  When I told my friends about my discovery, they all just looked at me so strangely.  Oh well, not much I can do about it.

Here, it's 02:40.  I think I got to sleep at about 05:00 this morning, and got up at 08:00.  Can't say I've got much work done today.

Well off to bed now.  Wish me luck.    Good night folks.
