Hmm, I'll have to look into this if I ever get around to towering my 1200.  Not completely sure what's involved.  Did you strip a PCMCIA card of its casing, to access the contacts in a different fashion?

In what way is it against the community?  Do you mean that some people saying that users should not hack their own hardware is against the community?  Or saying that some vendors have overpriced products is against the community?  Why do you think the thread should be closed?
