Dubious claim on Craigslist
« on: November 11, 2009, 06:40:53 AM »
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/vgm/1460381592.html

This guy is claiming to have an XBox with emulated games of a pretty large selection of retro systems. But to claim that he has EVERY game made for Amiga, NES, Sega, Intellivision, etc. on a 250 gig HD makes me rather doubtful.
Amiga 3000D UP and running! Hear that clicking. 8)
Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

Any idea how much space is needed if you were to install every single game produced for the Amiga? Even the crappy ones?

" Anyone one got a 23 - 15 pin (mac style) video pass-through cable for my Firecracker24?"
I have several for each of the FC24's I have, so I cant spare one, but I will take one apart and post the connector-2-connecto pinout.
IMNSHO, The FC24 has THE BEST RGB @ NTSC freqs ever made - owning, and using that card has made me tens of thousands of dollars in the 90's using AdPro, ImageFX, and Imagine.  You really need the cable so you can genlock and use 2+ FC24's at a time, or overlay dPaint animations or cyclecolor effects on top of pixel perfect 24 bit backgrounds.

The RGB&H&V connector pinouts will be easy, but as I recall the 28M genlock signal is going to be the trickiest conduit for you to replicate - it was a pretty custom cable - dont even think of extending the length of it with a 15pin joystick extender cable!!!

That is so cool! How in heck did you use two at the same time? That's pretty neat that use put it to such good use. Do you have any examples of your work available to view?

If you look in my picture section, you can see a cable that I made so that you can hook up a Zip drive to your parallel & joystick ports. I have minor skills in soldering, so I wouldn't mind a challenge to make a cable like that. Heck, a few people I know would probably buy them if I could make them.

Sadly, just as someone sent me the pinouts recently, I had to move to Los Angeles, and all my Amiga equipment is in storage up in Oakland, with no room here to set them up.
