Cybervision 64/3D crashing the ami
« on: October 16, 2008, 02:08:40 AM »
Hi all.

I've put a Cybervision 64/3D in the A4000D, and its having some problems.

A4k, AOS 3.9 with both B.B's, max onboard chip and fast RAM, cybergrafx v3.

Looks super, but, by opening any drawers beyond HD0: and HD1:, will crash the system. I can start programs by Shell (wow, look at those ImageFX screens!) with no problems.

By the way, I have both my 1084s and PC monitor hooked up at the same time, and they work in tandem, especially with ImageFX and Imagine3D. Is that anything to worry about?

Thanks.

Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

Same thing happened to me.

Took me a bit to figure this out but CyberGFX 3 doesn't get along with BoingBag 2. The only solution is to upgrade CyberGFX or miss out BB2.

If, by installing P96, will I have to remove the CGFX3 from the HD?

Upgrading to 4 makes sense though.

either that or upgrade to CyberGraphix 4, but picasso96 is free, so either or..

i would say what buster revision do you have? but i've not had problems with either 9 or 11 and a CV64/3D...

if you take the card out, are you able to open draws again?

Buster 11. If I have the screensize in 640 x 480 hires, there's no problems with opening drawers.
