What is available to run MP3 players on Amiga?
« on: June 25, 2006, 10:59:35 PM »
On Aminet, I saw a driver for the IPOD shuffle, and was wondering if anyone has tried it?

Are there any more types of drivers or programs to run other types of MP3 players like IRiver or generic MP3 players?

I gonna need something soon to play my music in the car when the cassette player craps out. :-P

Generic MP3 players generally just mount as a USB mass storage device under poseidon.  I don't think they require a driver.

That sounds peachy. Now, do I get a USB for my A3000 or A1200? Choices choices, hmmmmmm.

Planning on putting you Amiga in your car?

THen just get a MASplayer Hardware MP3 decoder

Click on My name and see my A600 pics with the MAS decoder in the Parralele and Serial ports.

No,    it's not my car, just the offices. I just drive it a lot around the SF bay area.

The simple route, would be to use a simple MP3 hooked up through the cassette player. I have the adaptor already, so it's just a matter of getting the MP3 player. It's worked with a friends IPOD, so getting my own would be good for when there's only crap on the radio.

Actually, what the hell does the MASplayer decoder do?  :-? The hardware site was kind of sketchy on its function. The only decoders I know about come out of cerial boxes.
