I think you're supposed to store it the place you keep floppy disks ;)

Well, if you have OS3.1+, the 68040.lib should already be in your Libs: directory. If what you have on the disk is a newer version than what you have on your HD, then by all means, replace it.

I can't for the life of me, remember what exactly will happen if you don't. From my use of 3.1, I know it was required, and that a 68040.lib is included with OS3.1, due to the nature of 68040. If things are different with 3.9, i'm not sure, but better safe than sorry, no?
