I have bought the Amiga-PC file transfer tool and believe I need to upgrade to Workbench 2.0 or later. I currently have 1.3 (it says 1.3.3 on the diskette). Does anyone know how I can get this to work ? When I insert the AMI-PC disk under WB1.3.3 it can't read it.

Also, I have another problem. I have the old game The Settlers and I have always only had few sounds even though I do have an 0,5 MB RAM upgrade installed. I've tested another RAM upgrade but no difference. Could it be my internal RAM that is mailfunctioning somehow ?

Thanks.

Hi there, I might be able to help you with something, if I can remember how my old Ami2000 used to work.

It could mean that your disk is no good, or your diskdrive just needs some cleaning.

Upgrading to 2.1 is recomended, although if you can go all the way to 3.0, do it! But with 2.0, I remember I used CrossDOS, which I had to get off a FishDisk (remember that everyone??), which allowed you to read IBMformat disks.

Could you be a little more clear about your Settlers problem? I could play it on my A2000 if I had the degrader program and I had to do some really convoluted settings in order to make it run. Run it in PAL, and a few other things I can't remember. Hope that helps.
