Hey, I ordered one too.
After 15 years I will have Amiga again :)

What kind of adapter is needed to connect to LCD TV ?

If you want to use it without scart/composite/RF on a modern monitor you either have to find a display that can handle 15KHz vertical refresh rate.

But in many cases you can run the Amiga to the TV via above outputs, ive had varried success with picture quality depending on TV, many times I get quite annoying flickering.

I have had some luck with the more expensive RGB to VGA converters, not perfect but somwhat OK, you can also use a GBS-8220 converter.

But I got tired of it all and got a Indivision AGA MK2 scandoubler/flicker fixer instead.

I would first try RGB to scart and see how it goes.

Edit: I probably missed something but im quite tired at the moment.

I have a Samsung LED/TV unit; it has both SCART and composite video inputs. I guess the A1200 can be connected directly to the composite input? Which resolutions would it handle in such configuration?
Sorry for the possibly stupid question, but I have never had an Amiga before :)

There is no stupid questions! When using SCART or composite ive experienced alot of mixed results, some tvs are picky, so best way to know is just trying different modes to see what display the best :)
