Why do not just someone start a forum for Amiga coding and try to get some peeps there?
Won't be much work at least to start one, fire up a unused x86 PC and install DSL or Puppy Linux and Apache, MySQL, PHP, phpMyAdmin, OpenSSL etc and you will have a fully working server, buy a cheep fitting domain for a few bucks, install phpBB and done.

I would set this up and host from one of my servers here at home if there where interest enough from anyone.

I guess setting it up at home would be the least expensive custom domain solution (aside of  a Forumotion custom domain, which is only 15 euros/year). What about reliability though?

My servers are backuped by local network solution and raid, I am using a dedicated linux machine as FW in my network, I got decent dedicated hardware for a quite large userbase and I can use both SSD and HDD for storage, putting DB/Cache etc on SSD (stable Samsung 830 series).
Ive been running a Web/Mail/FTP/HFS/OT servers for many years on both windows and linux machines and other unix based Open source OS'es so I can manage it fair enough :)

So I could offer one of my servers for free for the community if there is interest enough. I also own a few non used Amiga domains that would be fitting for a amiga coding phpBB forum (or vBulletin/IPB if it would be preferred).

Edit: I would need some help with graphics and  forum categories/subc
