Reading about your journey made me decide to start working on my poor A1200 :)
Now I can't wait for Amigakit and Vesalia to ship my goodies!

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Cool, feel free to post a link to your project so we dont miss it. :)

PS, Im currently drooling over the Zeus68k, I so want one when they are released (hope they are affordable!).  http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=65047

I will post it when all thing arrive :)
The Zeus is really nice but im waiting for the ACA-500, IDE with autoboot, 14MHz 020, and 2MB fast mem, BUT the best part is that you can use an aca-1220 with it = extra 128MB fastmem on the A500, that's just crazy!
I would put WHDLoad games in a ramdrive and just enjoy those games that are on tons of floppies like Monkey Island 2 on the A500 :D

Arrrgh, finally got around to trying out the pico-psu on monday (my power brick arrived) and the darn thing is faulty, it worked for a few mins and then died and now it shuts itself down after being on for 2 seconds even if all im powering is a 12v fan!

I've lodged a request for a replacement board with the seller but it's very annoying as I cut my nicely soldered and heat-shrunk wiring loom to bits while trying to find the fault! :(

Btw, I have decided on one more change to my build tho, the CF-IDE is now going to live inside the 500 near the Trapdoor opening so I can get it out on the rare occasions I'll need to. This gives me more room in the DVD/PSU combo for my IDE-eSata conversion. :)

I hope your PSU issues resolve, nice to see you keep up the good work, I would also put the CF/Converter near the trapdoor for ease of access :)

Looking good, I myself is thinking of going a similar route, since I got heat issues atm with my A1200 I guess I have to ditch the internal DVD mounting plans :/ So might steal some of your ideas ;)

What did you use to stick the sinks on the ram chips?
I use "Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive" to fix  heatsinks, it's permanent but it does the job a lot better then sticky heat pads that some use :)
Just a tip, good tho that you sorted it out :)
