not "crazy" as such... but that's an aussie tan alright! xD

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Amiga-Computer-and-Software-Vintage-Retro-Tron-1980s-Commodore-Apple-Era-/140885015942?pt=AU_Computers_Vintage&hash=item20cd66bd86

although the comment "Marks and dis-coloration as expected of a vintage piece"
is a bit amusing ;)

Wow, that is the worst A500 ive seen in a long time color wise.

The description should say:
"I have had the Amiga since it was new, it has been used daily and has been sitting in my window at the sunny side of my house since it was new and i am a heavy chain smoker and I have my ashtray next to the Amiga so it's a bit discolored but it runs like a champ: PS it might smell some"

This guy should really amend his prices, you can buy a brand new 020 accelerator from Amigakit complete with 128MB Ram and 2 year warranty for £100 less!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apollo-68020-Accelerator-4mb-expansion-Amiga-1200-Computer-/120950302938?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D3530077705076073022%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D130802185793%26

This Amiga 2000 http://www.tradera.com/amiga-2000-fungerande-och-genomgangen-gratis-frakt--auktion_340855_169126694A2000 is the first I've seen in a year or two in the Swedish eBay and it costs ~285$ is it a decent price, feels a bit high for that Amiga.
Stock on the inside and a button missing from the keyboard. I've been tempted to buy it.

$285 is way to much money for an A2000 in Sweden. The seller is a dreamer.

Remember that Amiga was actually fairly popular here, it is not a rare computer. I got the impression mot people do not want the A2000, it is a heavy and large computer. I am sure you can find one for 50 euro if you ask around (or for free).

For $285 you can get an A4000D.

Thanks for your reply, it's just that I rarely see them on the Swedish eBay, I really just want because I want all Amiga models, a 4KD is the one I want the most but last 040 one I saw in Sweden went for a crazy 850$ and that's to steep for me, but I'll keep looking my 1200 works fine meanwhile :)

Somebody asked recently why doesn't anyone post the good deals they find on ebay?  Well today I picked up this from a guy only about 30 miles from my house.  Loaded A2000, monitor, and a box full of stuff that I haven't even had time to dig though yet, but I know at least it contains a SuperGen and some other hardware bits.  All for $131 and a nice drive out to the country.  :)  Now I'm sure all the European users are laughing about that, but Amiga's are so rare in my area, this was a great deal that I got on a second-chance offer when the original winning bidder bailed on the shipping charges.  Maybe I'll post another pic or two after I inspect the battery and dig through the box.

Did I need it?  No.  But I sure wanted to rescue it!  ;)

Nice find! We are not laughing about the drive, even if more common where I live prices are way higher, damn last stock A2000 went for 400USD near me... Common price for em here is 350-450USD :/

So great find again!

Also I made a 310 mile (500KM) drive not long ago for some old PC stuff that was not even near the value of the gas/petrol xD Mostly because it's fun and now and then you get some new friends doing that :)

Every TV repairman is eager to repair old TVs and monitors: no SMDs, easy to replace capacitors, no imbedded processors.  All they can do with modern equipment is swap out boards IF they can find a replacement.  But a CRT that has lasted 30 years will likely last another.

I sure hope so, personally I'm afraid that the Vector X-Y tube will die in my 31 years old Vectrex and I must start thinking of a solution if that happens!

Darned kids these days, don't know anything about repairing older technology.  Good luck with that, hope you find some old fella who hasn't retired yet!  :(

I assume you don't mean me when you say "darn kids" and "don't know anything about repairing older technology"since neither is the case for me.

I have mostly no problem in repairing older technology at all so I don't really need a "old fella" for that and when the Tube dies the tube dies nothing they or anyone can do about it but source a replacement tube.

The circuitry is not the problem, that I can repair and rebuild myself if needed, the problem is the Tubes, less and less fitting vector tubes (or monochrome tubes) to get  hold off these days and some day I have to build and code a raster scan converter to use a modern display.

I guess that will be a fun project to add to my to do list in the future :)

They might be keeping it, but there is more included for that price if you take the time to read the auction.

I read the description about the history and included software before I posted yes, I still stand by my previous post. So why you take for granted that I did not read it I do not know.

Also if you are asking that price it would not be to much work to clean it from dust would it?

Not mine but thought i would share as it is a very nice custom case and not a bad price either.

Really nice tower, a nice modular PSU would make it even nicer :)
