I usally count a machine as mint if its in overal great shape with no yellowing and I do not care if it have had its seal broken or not, I bought a A600 for 100€ not long ago, it was mint, not opened and the seller gave me the recite also no yellowig on the mouse, amiga or PSU tho the tac-2 joystick had some yellowing and the black tac-2 was in perfect shape. So it was a great deal I did think, but ofc the first thing I did was to break the seals and check its health and put in a CF card :)

Not mint then given there was no box with it. And your point in telling us just how mint you think it was is to brag about destroying the uniqueness of an Amiga just to fit some alien hardware. Each time this is done you just make original machines even more rare. Well done. I'm sure it was 100 toy money well spent.

Not impressed.

PS Just had to say this but why bother with an A600 when an A1200 is a far superior machine. Surely you can track a 1200 down for £50... They are so common and give you far more options for expansion and general usage.

I did not say I did not get the box and manuals I was talking about the hardware side, and who are you to tell me that I should not bother using a A600? I have a 1200 but mabe I wanted a 600 because I collect? Also I wanted a A600 because its slim size is perfect in my crammed computer room. Also im not bragging im just proud of my Amiga I bought and wrote what mint means for me. Also what diffrence does it make if I add a CF card to it? Since I had to open it anyways to check that its organs was allright! Noone can see if I had a CF card in it or not if I remove it since its put in place with double sided tape! Its not the end of the world to add a CF card and IDE to CF adapter also mabe I wanted a quiet Amiga and not a power consuming Hard drive in a fraction of the CFs size?
please go hug your untouched Amigas and stay out of my sight! Muuuh!

edit: sorry for bursting out but I wa angry :p Also a side note the tapeglue is removable with alcohol.

I have to say I love opening up "minty" hardware, breaking seals and plastic tabs along the way!

..well, not so much breaking the tabs, but it is nice looking at a 20+ year old motherboard that's never been dusty.

I agreee 100%, loveley feeling aint it :) Open it up, check that all is ok inside and if something has to bee replaced it's a thrill to do so :D
