Well, the pc is primarily a 'media gateway'. It's a web browser for collecting and managing old radio programs, music, graphics or whatever. A source of news and communications for places like this and other interests. It's also a warehouse for personal data... like scanned bills & such or logs that the doc wants me to keep. So it's more of an appliance than a hobby like it was back the prime of the Amiga & before.

I'd like to do learn some FPGA coding sometime... and do a little bit of VB stuff. But VB is a lot more convoluted than I'd like... and I'd prefer not to go to the bare metal like C. ;-)
