The thing you have to find out is what they mean by "component". That also refers to the output of DVD players and is not the same as the Amiga's analog RGB. It's something like Y U V instead. Take a look at the maker's web site here:

The trick will be to find a circuit to convert RGB into YUV.

I did find an RGB to component circuit on the web a few weeks ago. It didn't seem too difficult. Like you say, some resistors and op-amps.

If you go to the manufacturer's site, you'll see that the VGA port is a passthru, so you don't have to disconnect cables when switching between your peecee and the game or whatever other source. Too bad. You could use this on an amiga with composite, or s-video. For RGB you'll have to build something.

BTW, on the manufacturer's site they have an interesting little gizmo.... it lets you use a gameboy advance as a composite monitor.... now that's cool.
