Alphadata Zip ram card
« on: January 12, 2009, 07:43:12 PM »
I recently picked up this card from ebay. It looks similar to a Alphdata Alpharam RA2-8MB (as per Big blue book of Amiga HW) but with the following differences :-

1. Only 15 of the 16 Zip sockets are fitted the last one has no evidence of soldering etc although the tracking is complete.
2. There are two jumpers for selecting 2,4,6 or 8MB and another jumper marked "on/run off/test".

The only marking is on the chip side and reads "PC0012D".
I was hoping to fit this into an unexpanded A400D (16+2Mb)after getting hold of some zip ram.

Is anyone familiar with this card or zip ram in the Amiga. I understand it was used in the A3000.

To check out photo of this card go to IMAGES/Hardware/Assorted HW+monitors on this forum (It may still be on IMAGES - Latest additions)

any feedback appreciated, Ian
