256mb edo ram kit
« on: March 10, 2016, 05:43:11 PM »
Today i recieved my edo ram for my BPPC. I can confirm they work and fit into a desktop case. The chips are very thin and do not touch anything on the BPPC card. There are more up for sale if anyone looking. I thought the price was good and i hope this info will help someone else.

Here is a link to the info on the ram chips

I looking for a 64mb or more simm but i dont find any that fit on a b1260 or scsi kit, these ones fit on the b1260?

No idea. Is it possible to put 128mb simm in and only see/use 64mb on those cards?

On all "modern" blizzard or DCE cars you can use 128mb simms and if you have SCSI kit another 128mb simm... the problem is the room to fit.

I was going by the info on here:

http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/blizzard1260

memory
one 72 pin SIMM socket accepts up to 64 MB RAM, 70 ns or faster.

I could do some measuring if that helps you.

The info here is not the same

http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.com/bboah/product.aspx?id=115

Max Ram:   128MB (256MB with optional SCSI-II controller)
Ram Type:   1 x 72pin SIMM slot. (2 if the optional SCSI-II controller is used)

One of this sites are wrong but thank you for the answer.

PS: there is two models of Blizzard 1260 one of then have the simm on "plain" position, the other is in "diagonal" position, in the last one fits any simm.

Interesting but ive just checked the listing and someone has bought them all up. I bet they read this thread.
