Hyperion: Game Licencing
« on: April 29, 2003, 10:37:03 PM »
I was wondering the other day  what it takes to convenince a game developer to port a game
to Amiga/Mac/Linux.

Since you guys in are in this business, you are more
knowledgeble to answer this question.

If Hyperion guys are reading this, could you please
answer therse questions(if at all possible):

1.Is it  Money  Money Money(Licensing fees)?

2.Does it depend on the game being ported or the
3d engine that is being used(eg Quake3 engine or
    Lith.3d...........)

2. Is it Viable Market share of a platform?

3. Are licences for Mac games easier to obtain than
    amiga?

4. When talking to developers what do they say
when they hear "Amiga"? Do they say "see in
    another life time"?

5. Which 3d Engine is cheaper for you to port in
      terms of money?
     Quake3, lithtech....?

6. When you guys approch a game developer do the
know who you are(this not a insult question)   :-)

7. Will we ever see a game like Rainbow Six on
amiga? Would it be too expensive to get a licence?

Please Answer these question if you can, most of us would like to know more about it.;-)

Thanks
