Nalpalm
« on: October 02, 2005, 12:44:48 PM »
I have just also found Nalpalm on CD (orignal!!) and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with regards to the running requirements?!  I borrowed this game from a friend and I dont think I ever gave it back to him!!

I also have on CD that I'd like to get playing:

Street Racer
Ultimate Gloom
Ultimate Skidmarks

I also have the orignal Ultimate Doom, Doom 2 and The Final Doom as well on CD for the PC (if I recall, I can use a particular file to play the game??)

I know I'm going to need a CD-Rom drive but more to the point, is my 030 50 with 16mbs of ram going to be OK to play these games on?!  I'm gonna need to find me a tower me thinks!!

Many thanks guys!!

On ebay at the moment I'm bidding on a Voodoo 5 64mb PCI graphics card and I'm hoping to get a Mediator to go with it and see how that performs?

I was guessing it was a better way to go perhaps?  What does anyone think?

I was planning on buying a Mediator and a suitable graphics card, I have found a couple Voodoo PCI cards so I was thinking would that be better than a Picasso or a Cybervision or Bvision or something like that?

I was considering to try and find a PPC card as well, would this be of a benifit or not?  Or would a 040 or 060 be better??

What would you say would be the best option?  I used to have a PPC and Bvision card and I didnt think it was too bad for the Amiga, but I thought the graphics card wasnt all that quick...

What would you do in my position?  I think the PPC and the Mediator with a Voodoo 5 5500 would be a good way to go.. What do you think?

Well I would like to have something thats worth while and thats going to last!

Are they going to release any updates so that the faster Voodoo cards can be used?  How is it limited when your using the Mediator?  IS that connected via the trapdoor slot or something?

Would the 040 be a better bet or is the 060 still the one to have?

So is the bigger the better graphics card the way to go with regards to the Voodoo cards then? Or would I be wasting my time?

Like I said, I can get a Voodoo 5 5500 64mb PCI model for £45 including everything.  If this is a great price, please can someone let me know!

Many thanks!

The Voodoo 3 3000 will be more than enough for me then :)  I'll see if I can track down a decent priced 060 board....
