Hello Sparky in New Zealand! One of the most beautiful places on the face of this earth and home of some of the friendliest people too.
What are you using your A1000 for, just old games? If yes, your speed problem is more likely a problem of waiting for the floppy disk drive to read/load data to RAM. The solution to that is a hard drive controller, not an accellerator. If you are trying to use the A1000 for anything serious, you would be better off looking for a later model Amiga like the A3000 or A4000 which can be expanded to do almost anything you would want to do with any computer.
But not really expect it to turn on the cofee machine? :-?
