WTB : Anyone got an A1000 accelerator ?

What are you using your A1000 for, just old games?  If yes, your speed problem is more likely a problem of waiting for the floppy disk drive to read/load data to RAM.  The solution to that is a hard drive controller, not an accellerator.  If you are trying to use the A1000 for anything serious, you would be better off looking for a later model Amiga like the A3000 or A4000 which can be expanded to do almost anything you would want to do with any computer.

But not really expect it to turn on the cofee machine?  :-?

I totally agree, the A1000 was my favorite design with the keyboard garage.  I still have mine w/Spirit Insider 1.5mb RAM expander, 105mb HD inside where DF0: used to be, and a Kwikstart ROM switcher.  I have not fired it up in years but will get it out again some day.  I also have another A1000 that was given to me that I plan to gut and build into a WinUAE super emulated Amiga like Kermit from Nova Designs did a couple of years ago (only better).

Then you two cannot be friends!!
