Thanks for the link to Amigakit. Very tempting, except the postage from dear old Blighty to here would be hefty I imagine.

As for 'Dragonlady' (is this really a dragon's horde on sale here?) I am almost tempted to send her a message offering $100 for that A1200.

That's a nice one Czarek. However, postage to CA coupled with the strong pound against the weak dollar would probably push the total cost over $400 which is too high for me. If I was still in the UK however, I'd probably take you up on your offer.

I did send a message to 'Dragonlady' and she claimed that she has already sold one of her 'warranty' 1200s at $699. I suspect that's an untruth but if not, I want to know who paid that much as I have a bridge I'd like to sell them.

Never being opened hardly maters. It just means in mint condition. This is a mass produced consumer electronic product, not a Stradivarius. Not rare and not even the 'first edition' model. Hardly worth paying $500 more for the honour of opening the box. If you are not going to open the box then it's a brick. If you do open the box and it doesn't work then it's also a brick.

A sealed Amiga 1000? I would say that would be more like it, being the first Amiga and all, but this?

Still more power to the seller as they found someone foolish enough to pay and that means inflated prices for everyone else.
