2nd internal floppy in a 2000

HELP

i am installing a 2nd Chinon 354 in my 2000 the ist 354 is set to DFO the second one is set to DF1. i have jumper 301 closed (2 floppies in system).

i have a floppy ribbon cable without a twist? i tried that and the second floppy red light stays on and the machine does not see it.
i am sssuming that i need a ribbon cable with a twist is that correct????if not what am i doing wrong> thanks and regards

the number one pin is to the far left of the power cable. thats where the red side of the ribbon cable is. same as on the ist drive it sees the first drive.

may i ask the price for the floppy cable you mentioned the one with the twist. thanks much . james portsmouth va

after all the replies i get from no a cable with a twist is not necessary to one i got that said i needed a "special twist cable". i got both drives working o.k. i went to my local pc shop and bought a short ribbon with a twist a pc cable not a special cable. came home plugged in the twist cable and IT WORKED. worked fine. thanks for all your help
