You could try asking the guy to brake it down and ship it in multiple boxed instead of one big heavy oversized box. Yeah, there would be a large box for the case, but it would be lighter. Plus, with the drives and cards would be better protected if shipped uninstalled.
You could also try to convince the seller to cross the border over to Niagra or Buffalo to ship it. :-D
