I'd recommend the following. Just check what you need and what your budget permits:
- Deneb USB
- ZoRAM
- CPU Upgrade
. You can find an El'Cheapo A3640 from Amibay or eBay or if you can afford, an Cyberstorm 060, Apollo 060.

...then based on appetite and need, you can add various stuff like PCI busboard, RTG Graphic cards etc etc.

Zorros are indeed cool but I couldn't agree more with Alexh.
Deneb is blazing fast with DMA usage and USB2.0 work as intended.
I had an A4000 with both Deneb and Xsurf and I can say, I'd choose USB NIC any day :)
After all you can leave your precious Zorro slots for other important hardware... (hint: RTG Card, ZoRAM, etc)
