AFAIK Idefix97 it's only used for the secondary channel, so you can definitelly use an CF2IDE adapter as Master and CDROM as Slave on the Primary channel without needin' to use Idefix97.

A500's power brick can definitelly run an A1200 with 030, CF, CD-ROM and floppy.
