:-o No doubt, but there are already billions of stars, many of whom will have planetary systems, in our own galaxy.

Seti@home runs well under LinuxPPC on an AmigaOne (my A1G3SE does a unit in just over 15 hours) and there's no reason to doubt it'll run equally well on a Pegasos.
Once AOS is running on enough machines, I'm sure someone will port the CLI client at least.
