Yup, very nice. Maybe AOS4.2+ will actually support Altivec as well.

Hmm... nice G4/550 ZIF card for ageing G3s they announced in March. How come I missed that?

If anyone wants a good laugh: I currently have Seti@home running on a beige G3/266 (macos 8.6, not the stablest version) and a PII/233 running W98.

The G3 knocks spots off the PII.

Therefore G4 / 400 MHz is more useful than G3 / 600 MHz without altivec.

:-?
I'm wondering if you didn't accidentally get that the wrong way round. Altivec support isn't planned for AOS4.0 AFAIK, so what use would a G4 be?
