Advantage Tennis - WHDLOAD speed issue on real amiga computer
« on: December 26, 2005, 03:41:04 PM »
Hello.

Well i replay this game these days because i want to become the ATP N°1 again like back in 1991 :D

It is installed from my original floppy with whdload, and i usually play either on my A600 with 68030@40Mhz or my A1200T with PPC and 68040@25Mhz.

The problem i have is the game is fast as light on the A600, nearly unplayable, while the speed seems rather normal or a bit slow but greatly playable on the A1200.

I would expect the 68030 to be more compatible than the 68040 with whdload.

Unfortunately, i can't test the game on a mere 68000 because my A500 has a floppy problem and the game won't launch on ROM 3.1 even if i fall back the accelerators. In my memories, original speed is closer to my gaming experience on 040 than on 030.

Anyone still play this game and have a speed issue?
Nothing mentioned in the whdload readme file.

By the way, the problem occurs with both 16.4 and 16.5.

Thanks.
