Most Amiga games are not harddisk installable.

But some smart peolpe have developed a program to overcome this niggle. It's called WHDload and can be found at www.whdload.de

It's shareware and if you use it much I suggest you register the program; it's only 20 euro's which I think is great value for money!

Then you can install games from floppy (only originals NO cracks). But there are games that have been given to the Amiga community as freeware. You can find those on www.back2roots.org

Some of the game downloads there are WHDload installs. So that's really easy!

Well...

I use ethernet on my 4000 and I do my Amiga browsing on that machine. So I download directly to my Amiga.

I assume that you don't have a cd-rom since you own a 1200. You could use floppies. You're limited to PC formatted 720K. The Amiga can read those with the PC0: mount file which is in your Storage/Dosdrivers drawer(dir). For small files that's ok. Files that are too big can be splitted using a tool like Sploiner. Look for that on Aminet(www.aminet.net).

For real file transfer I recommend using a CD-Rom and burn CD-R's on your PC. They can be read on your Amiga. Or try to get your Amiga online. There are some PCMCIA port solutions; and yes also wireless connections are possible.
