Problem with DCE Scan Magic
« on: September 10, 2005, 02:16:03 PM »
Hi,

I've got a Scan Magic from DCE but it doesnt give any picture on my A1200 rev 1D4 motherboard but does work on my rev 2B board. Problem is that my 2B board has a broken mouse port so I want to use the 1D4 board in my tower...

Does anyone know what the problem could be? My 1D4 board still has the E123C and E125C resistors. But there is an extra resistor soldered on the board near Alice and something that's called XC3.

You were right!!

Just cleaned the contacts and pressed it into place a little firmer and presto!!

Thanks! I was afraid it was incompatible with rev 1D4.

Do you think I still need to do the timing fix? And do you know what the extra resistor is for?

Does anyone know what cable you need to connect the output of the scanmagic to the input of a graphics card? In my case it's a piccolo SD64.
