Unfortunately, Commodore sold the Amiga through Discount Stores and the like...
the problem lies in the Perception that was at that time present, ie. if I bought a computer at JC Penny then definately that can not do my Taxes or be used to do Business, it is obviously only for GAMES...
No system at that time, 1987, had the power, graphics, and OS that could've compared, except maybe the Atari, but in Graphics it was unbeatable... if Development had continued on the Amiga and OS, it would be the killer Maschine today...
but alas that is dreaming...
The Hardware of the AmigaOne, XE or what have you, is to bleeping expensive and I won't succumb to buying it... Now if Amiga OS would run natively or through a Virtual CPU on an x86 architecture, I would definately go and buy it and throw out XP...
