What version of WB are you using?
Whats the name of the program you are preparing/partitioning the hard disk with?
Did you create a least one partition and set up a filesystem on it (pref. FFS)?
Did you reboot after partitioning and get a DH0:
type of icon on Workbench?
Did you select the icon and format it?
