A bit off-topic, but im in the need of a bigger hd for my mini andthought that the mini uses ide interface. Is possible to connect pata drives directly or with some type of adapter?. Also, is performance lowered with it?

Thanks, now i have it clearer. It's for replacing the internal 80gb one and giving it a bit more capacity.
