Arguably the first major restructuring of the Red Hat Linux interface since 6.0, Red Hat Linux 8 includes a new, unified interface, GNOME 2.0 to enable powerful interface features, integration with OpenOffice.org and Mozilla 1.0, and even a very Amiga/Mac-like Panel type called the Menu Panel (it sits at the top of the screen and even has a very Finder-like feature on the right).
