Warp 3D Voodoo 3
« on: October 17, 2010, 11:39:37 AM »
Hi I have a mediator LT4 and Voodoo 3 PCI, I have tried installing and running warp 3d. None of the demos work, I was wondering what is the correct version and settings I should use.

Hi!

I had the same problems and only solved them this week!

You need to install the Warp3D version on the Mediator CD, its the only one compatible with the Mediator.

Also the Mediator CD when you first install the files installs the Warp3D drivers for the A4000 not the A1200, this is a problem with Elbox's install script.

Delete the following files:

> Libs:Warp3D/GFXdrivers/W3D_Picasso96.library - 4.2
> Libs:Warp3D/GFXdrivers/W3D_Picasso96_PPC.library - 4.2
> Libs:Warp3D/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerBE.library - 4.2
> Libs:Warp3D/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerBE_PPC.library - 4.2
> Libs:Warp3D/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerLE.library - 4.2
> Libs:Warp3D/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerLE_PPC.library - 4.2

And replace with:

Libs:Warp3d/GFXdrivers/W3D_Picasso96M_PPC.library v1.0
Libs:Warp3d/GFXdrivers/W3D_Picasso96MU.library v4.2
Libs:Warp3d/GFXdrivers/W3D_Picasso96M.library v4.2

Libs:Warp3d/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerBEM.library v4.2
Libs:Warp3d/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerBEM_PPC.library v4.2
Libs:Warp3d/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerBEMU.library v4.2

Libs:Warp3d/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerLEM.library v4.2
Libs:Warp3d/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerLEM_PPC.library v4.2
Libs:Warp3d/HWdrivers/W3D_AvengerLEMU.library v4.2

Re run Mediator Config, now you can enjoy Warp3D :afro:

Thanks I will give that a try, hopefully this will sort out my warp3d headache

@ Tajmaster
You can run quake and games like payback in AGA, they run really really slow as the software is rendering it.

If you use Warp3d it runs using the 3D Hardware Acceleration on the voodoo.  (a fast accelerator card is needed but it dont have to be PPC) This makes it look and run really well. This is the warpOS version of payback http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUFhNQpME0s

Hi I have progressed in my quest to get warp 3d working. I lost the original cd so I brought a new one from amigakit with new mach chips :D

I have replaced and deleted the libs that fitzsteve mentioned.
I can now run the warp test:

I cannot run any other demos like gears or engine. Payback WOS also detects the hardware rendering but refuses to launch.

Is this because I do not use MMU (every time i try to activate it the installer tells me to check my config jumper and it cannot detect mediator) ?

Is this because I am using A1200 drivers (I could not find an option to install A4000 drivers anywhere) ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D
