I really didn't understand your last post. Here is a link to my website. I don't use 3.9 I have to say, but it should be generally all automated under 3.9. I have had some issue with the interface and some accelerators, notibly the Apollo 060. I had to switch to a Blizzard. The external unit will need power. And the Unit on the box needs to correlate with the Tool for the CD0 in Devs. Also the CD library needs to be linked to the Tool. As I say I know how to configure with 3.0 but haven't used 3.9 that much.

Also termination may or may not be necessary, sometimes its just a switch on the box, otherwise you can buy one. There is a picture on the website. And just a tiny point, the drive will probably only show up on the desktop with a CD in it. Or so it does on mine.
