The A500 is like a Fabergé egg which until you crack open you will never appreciate the possible surprise. Whenever a 500 came up on Ebay that nobody bid on I would give it a go and couldn't wait to see if there was anything inside. Sometime ago the community here were having fun with an Ebay auction cus the boxed 500 for sale claimed to be an upgraded 1200. Anyway I said nothing but was suspiscious. I won the auction and when I got it home inside was a Viper like yours. Quite rare.

Any accelerator for a 500 is rare and should be well looked after. Personally I would try to look after it. The other items are valuable, but not rare. So well done. I tried very much to collect gear cus I would always come back with more.

Like this lot that I got from winning an auction for a Checkmate. Scroll down the list to items listed from 5th June 2004 called my Wonderwall

Just wish I had the space to collect more.

Anyway .. Well done. Safe hands I hope. Gear like this needs safe hands.

Scuzz, I love your collection, looked through it many times ;)

I love living in an Amiga Aladdin's cave. When I first got my Amiga there was a computer shop here dedicated to the Amiga and the guys in there were Amiga nutters. Every lunchtime I would go in there and they would show me new goodies and it was quite magical. I don't have the joy of seeing new stuff but I have an Amiga wonderland to play in every day and I gotta say it really isas  magical. Dunno what modern computer kit would generate as much lasting pleasure.

Good to collect... Just wish I could cram more stuff in. Keep up the good work and always have fun.

@scuzzb494 That is a most impressive collection, and the wonderwall especially so.

I hope I'm safe hands, if I can't use anything, I'll endeavour to find homes for them that can. The Viper is one of the more exciting bits to me, as I still have one of (if not my) first A500's, and it would be very happy with an 020, and from the little I've read about the Viper, it seems like one of the 020's you'd most want to have.

I would suggest the Viper is probably one of the single most important finds you will ever make. I just sat there with this big grin on my face for like ever when I found mine. I still have the boxed 500 in pride of place here. I mean when you just look at the slender build and then marvel how it ever fitted inside the 500. No other computer can boast such dedicated users. And finding any treasure in a 500 is truly wonderful. Trust me when I say, they are rare. Any accelerator for the 500 is rare and I do truly hope that you make sure it finds a glass case at some point. Cus in years to come they will celebrate the unique nature of the Amiga range of computers and collectors will pay a fortune for such things. This was the birth of everything to come in the world of micro technology, and you have  such a valuable part of that. Safe hands are needed whilst it stays with you. Well done.
