Because when a more or less working 2.5mb A1000 complete sells on ebay for £44 you have to wonder why.
I would expect a working A1000 motherboard alone to be worth this much but obviously it isn't or perhaps ebay is a complete waste if time.
You would need to give far more information about the auction. i.e condition of kit, reputation of seller, time of sale, etc etc. You simply can`t judge a whole interest on the basis of one auction. My last three Amiga 1000s didn`t cost me a penny as I was given them to preserve and look after. These days most of what I get comes free... Like my KIM that was donated. Serious collectors are not in it for the money and serious enthusiasts are really pleased if the kit goes for a very low price. The only folk worried about value are Ebayers.
