Hi All

I am returning to the Amiga and the basics have falled out of my head!

I wish to install OS3.9 on my A1200 using an old SCSI CD Rom drive. I have installed a fresh copy of 3.1 and moved the appropriate files to folders as described in the installation instructions for AmiCDFS v2.38. I am now at the point that I need to edit the CDO mount file but how on earth do I edit it??

You can use a programme called CED CygnusED or any text editor ... Open the CD0 file by locating it in Devs DosDrivers and then change the device to 1230scsi.device and the Filesystem to L:AmiCDFS..... Save and exit the text editor. Make sure AmiCDFS is in your L drawer and that the CD0: is in your Devs:DOSdrivers drawer. Reboot and should be mounted or just click CD0:

Classic combo that by the way, though OS3.9 may slow you down a bit. Remember the BoingBags by the way.

The mount file for CD0: will look the same as mine...

Device = 1230scsi.device
Unit  = 0
Filesystem = L:AmiCDFS
Flags = 0
BlocksPerTrack = 32
Blocksize = 2048
Reserved = 0
LowCyl = 0
HighCyl = 11000
Surfaces = 1
Buffers = 64
BufMemType = 1
Mask = 0x7fffffff
Globvec = -1
Priority = 10
DosType = 0x43444653
StackSize = 600
Mount = 1

Control = "LC BL=8 FB=32"
