The GVP has 32 bit wide memory, like the A3K.
Add memory to that rather than the 16 bit Z II bus.
Change the battery before it corrodes.  A2K is still
adequate for dial-up connections.
hmm, doesn't the GVP have an on-board ScSI?
Mine does.  If you go to a wide-band connection,
tho', you may see the limitations..
