I also have a 1084S that I use for one of my C64s - Ive just wondered as this monitor is getting old now ... should I have a fire extinguisher closeby ? How will this monitor fail .. If that happens ? With a bang or simply going out quietly ?
Usually the picture will fail due to bad solder joints.
