LZX Extractor for Peecee
« on: June 19, 2005, 07:39:06 AM »
Hey Folks,

I have a ton of LZX files I would like to extract on the PC before sending them across the network to the miggy.

Anyone know of a PC extractor that can do this?

I have looked with no joy currently.  Thought it might be easier to ask.

cheers Amiga lovers   :-D

Thanks Amiga1260,

I have actually looked at that one.  Problem is its command line and as far as I can tell you can't pass it wildcards. I'm going to have to write a big ugly script or something to unpack the thousand or so files I have.  Was hoping for a util that might make life easier, Otherwise I will have to do it slowly on the Miggy.

Cheers again :-)

Thanks folks,

UNlzx2 did the trick.

I thought about sending them over compressed, but the Ami takes a long time to extract, The PC just did it very quickly.  There was about 1500 compressed files almost 2gig worth, would have taken the Amiga a while.  The PC did it in about 10 Mins.  Yeah it's fast but it's still crap.  If the Ami had the processing power the PC has, it would kick the PC's ass performing the same task I have no doubt.

Thanks again all :-D

Thanks again folks

Are u sure LZX can be unpacked by powerarchiver?  I use something called ultimate zip, which I thought was nothing more than powerarchiver in disguise, it does lha and lzh but not lzx.

And yes, damn, why didn't I think of the WinUAE thing.  That probably a solution for lots of things.

Gotta figure out this network speed thing now.  Going to take 5 Days to copy the data across.  What a joke.
