Don`t even try anything of that unless you have an 68060, better a PPC. For MP3 playback an 68040 @ 40 MHz is barely sufficient if you leave the hand away from mouse and keyboard.
Aw, come on... It's fun to try it at least once, even if you'll never do it again
I can play some little Cinepak videos in greyscale and MP3s at the lowest quality with my A2630.
