This is the problem with the half educated, the women on the left is correct regarding the  vegetarian diet (average 5 years extra life), the fresh fruit and veg and the exercise. They do  help to give you a longer and healthier life. The trouble is she is half educated. Detox diets are an incredible shock to the system and are now considered to be very dangerous. If your going to detox, do it slowly. As for colonic irrigation, it's totally unnecessary providing you eat enough fiber and is a ridiculous thing to do for a vegetarian. Supplements, I should add, are often useless or at least of limited use as they are likely to be unusable by the human body. Even very high dosage vitamins that on the surface seem great are rarely absorbed, your body wants them in your food not in a pill.

Also, beware of judging health by outward appearance, it can be very deceptive. Nigella is looking good for 51 though, I must admit. The most outstanding thing I notice in these pictures however is the body language, one of them looks very relaxed, the other one looks seriously stressed. Diet isn't everything.
Falling into a dark and red rage.
