A good Multisync with RGB video inputs maybe?
I used to use an NEC 1810 Multisync at work, that had RGB Video-in on BNC connectors and could take a direct video feed. The PC connected to it (on DVI) was used for DVD authoring (my job at the time) and the RGB input was fed from an external Sony MPEG encoder with bog standard RGB PAL or NTSC. This allowed me to check the encoded video at the flick of a switch but I always thought that it would be an ideal Amiga monitor. Shame it cost silly money at the time. :(
