Picasso II and LCD monitors
« on: June 24, 2005, 02:54:02 PM »
Hello!

I'm going mad!!!
Yersteday I've got some 1200's parts such as a Micronik Zorro 2 busboard and a Picasso II card.

I'm trying to get working the Picasso with my Sony X73 LCD monitor but I can't find any comatible screenmode.
My monitor shows only black screen ("flickering" sometimes a single frame...) or reports an error about the frequency or the resolution higher than its native (1280x1024). But... I was testing resolutions like 640x480 or 800x600.
Using a CRT monitor all work well but I must use the LCD monitor only.

Any ideas?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
Alex

My Sony accepts these ranges:

Horizontal Frequency     28 k - 80 KHz
Vertical Frequency    48 - 75 Hz

I've tried all frequencies in the range accepted by my monitor using the Picasso96 Prefs but nothing changed  :-(

@dnelsonfl:

Many thanks for your help!!!

I've discovered the problem... I needed to close a jumper near the "Sync" chip on the board.

What can I say...? Amiga with a graphic card is simply fantastic!  :-D

With my monitor, I can use all screenmodes up to 1024x768 8bit. Unfortunately at 1024x768 16bit doesn't work so I've chosen 800x600 24bit... very very nice!!!

Thanks again!!!
Alex
