We were discussing yesterday the possibility of converting the SCSI-TV to IDE and putting in a compact flash drive. That is possible, but there are hang ups in software development on that.
What hangups? Clone the A600 Gayle IDE interface and there is no need for any software! The hardware design for such interfaces is already open-source.
You can already get a CF/IDE interface
IDE68K and the upcoming (v300?) plans to add 8+Mbytes of Fast RAM which could make it the best interface for 16-bit Amiga.
